Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway admitted Monday she believes personnel changes are on the horizon at the White House because of West Wing leaks.
Conway was asked about the subject at the end of an appearance on Fox News' "The Story."
"I do – actually – yes, I do," Conway said when asked if she thinks there would be changes to White House personnel.
Conway noted there are several types of leaks, including some that are intended to "shiv" other members of the White House staff.
"Some leaks exist to hurt colleagues, some leaks exist because they disagree with the policies that are being put forth," she said. "But none of them are helpful.
"I will tell you, there's something else that's going on in this White House . . . it's not so much leaking as using the media to shiv each other. That was going on quite a bit at the beginning of this administration, and it's less so now."
President Donald Trump tweeted about White House leakers Monday afternoon, calling them "traitors and cowards" and saying their identities would be discovered.
"If you work at the pleasure of the president, as we all do here, and you have the privilege and the blessing to coming to work every day in this White House on behalf of the nation that we all love, then you ought to be competent, you ought to be loyal, and you ought to be able to reinforce the agenda that prevailed here," Conway said.
