Americans will not forget how Democrats wasted money and time to push for President Donald Trump's impeachment, presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway claimed on Tuesday.
"People will remember how those Democrats spent their time and the taxpayers’ money, which was a big waste," Conway told Fox News' "Fox and Friends." "If you waste my time, you risk my trust, is what these voters will say to them."
She also railed against referring to Democrats from states Trump carried in 2016, who some have said may resist his impeachment, as moderates.
"Can we stop calling them moderate Democrats?" Conway said. "I think they've proven that they're not. They are not representing the will of their people. If you’re called a representative, if that’s your day job, you ought to represent the will of your people.”
Conway also slammed Democrats who claimed they needed additional time to review the evidence and documents that have been presented in the inquiry so far.
"They would sound more legitimate and more credible if they just said that I need to follow the leadership of my party, which has gone so far to the left, we can't even see the middle from where we are anymore," said Conway.
Conway further commented that most voters don't consider impeachment a top issue among most voters, citing a USA Today poll.
"It's number 11 out of 12," said Conway. "It’s dead last to Republicans. Among Democrats, it’s after Social Security, education, the economy, immigration and healthcare. Think about that."
