Gov. John Kasich on Sunday criticized the Trump administration for "yanking" non-criminal illegal immigrants from their homes.
In an interview with CBS News' "Face The Nation," the Ohio governor, promoting his new book, "Two Paths: America Divided or United," was asked for his assessment of the job President Donald Trump has done so far as he heads to his 100th day in office.
"It's incomplete," he said. "He's done some things well, and sone things I don't agree with."
"The story about yanking people out of their homes who have not committed crimes once they come into this country, dividing families more, I don't agree with," he said.
The Associated Press reported last week a mother of four in Ohio, with no criminal record, had been deported to Mexico.
"I think what he did in Syria was correct," Kasich added.
"I was with the president at the White House," he recounted, "and I told him a story about my wife," saying she once confronted him, advising: "'You're the governor of Ohio, and by the way you're the father of Ohio – why don't you act like it?'"
"There's a take-away from that for the president," he said.
