Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Wednesday that American's should not be "duped" by WikiLeaks' Julian Assange.
President-elect Donald Trump appeared to give Assange more credibility than the U.S. intelligence community earlier Wednesday.
Assange has maintained the documents obtained by his organization, including the leaked emails from members of the Democratic party, did not come from Russia. He called the assessment Russia was behind the leaks "a bad report," during an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity.
Graham also appeared on CNN on Wednesday, where he called Trump's remarks on Assange "disturbing."
"I hope the president-elect will get his information and trust the American patriots who work in the intelligence community who swear oath and allegiance to the Constitution," Graham said. "And not some guy hiding from the law who has a record undercutting and undermining American democracy."
Graham went even further, saying Trump should not only "ignore Julian Assange, he should condemn him for what he's done to our country."
