John Rogers, a veteran of three elections with the National Republican Congressional Committee, has been selected as the group's executive director for the 2018 midterms.
According to Politico, Rogers has been with the group since the 2012 election, when he worked as a regional political director.
"I am looking forward to working with another great NRCC chairman, and want to thank Chairman-elect [Steve] Stivers for this incredible opportunity," Rogers said, reports Politico.
Stivers praised Rogers and said he played a crucial role in helping House Republicans pad their majority in the chamber.
"John has served as a vital part of Chairman [Greg] Walden's team — a team which brought House Republicans to the largest majority in 80 years in the 2014 cycle and held a large majority this election cycle," Stivers said, according to Politico.
Rogers was promoted at the start of 2015 to political director for the 2016 election, Roll Call reported at the time.
