Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, blasted President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry for their actions regarding Israel, calling both men "bitter clingers" who "are spending every last minute of this administration wreaking havoc domestically and abroad."

The Washington Examiner reported Cruz claimed the lame duck administration's actions were "designed to weaken and marginalize Israel and to embolden its enemies."

"History will record and the world will fully understand Obama and Kerry as relentless enemies of Israel," he said.

Other congressional members have also had harsh words for both Obama and Kerry about Israel.

The New York Times reported a bipartisan group of lawmakers are upset with Obama's decision to allow passage of a United Nations Security Council resolution, which condemned Israel's construction of settlement in disputed territory.

Others were equally critical of Kerry's speech rebuking the Israel government.

"Secretary Kerry's speech . . . was at best a pointless tirade in the waning days of an outgoing administration," Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said.
