Rep. John Delaney, D-Md., will run the first ad of the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries on Sunday, The Washington Post is reporting.

Delaney is the only declared candidate for the party’s nomination and is making his pitch to Iowa voters. The ad, titled "Dirty Word," will be seen in the Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Davenport and Sioux City markets during the Super Bowl, according to his website.

The TV spot starts off with a narrator saying: "It’s true. We openly admit it. John Delaney said a dirty word in Davenport, then repeated it in Des Moines and Sioux City, too. In fact, he’s been saying it all across this state – unabashedly telling people he’s a firm believer in, well…"

The television ad then cuts to Delaney saying: "bipartisanship."

Then the narrator continues: "It might be a dirty word in Washington, but it seems to be awfully refreshing right here in Iowa."

Delaney spent $37,000 on the ad buy, but expects to spend a million dollars on similar ads in the coming weeks, the Post reported.
