Former Rep. John Delaney, D-Md., and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. took swipes at each other over ideas versus solutions.
At Tuesday night's Democratic presidential candidates' debate hosted by CNN, Delaney, a moderate, said "I think Democrats win when we run on real solutions, not impossible promises. When we run on things that are workable, not fairy tale economics."
That steamed progressive Warren, who batted back:
"I don't understand why anybody goes to all the trouble of running to the president of the United States to talk about what we really can't do and shouldn't fight for," she said, throwing her hands in the air.
"I don't get it.
"He talks about solutions that are workable. We have tried the solution of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. And what have the private insurance companies done, they have sucked billions of dollars out of our healthcare system," she added.
