President Donald Trump continued his onslaught against John Bolton Tuesday morning, calling his former national security adviser a "creepster" who should be thrown in prison.

On the day that Bolton's scathing book about Trump was released, Trump took his criticism of Bolton to another level.

"Washed up Creepster John Bolton is a lowlife who should be in jail, money seized, for disseminating, for profit, highly Classified information. Remember what they did to the young submarine sailor, but did nothing to Crooked Hillary. I ended up pardoning him - It wasn't fair!" Trump posted on Twitter.

The book paints a poor picture of Trump, accusing him of misconduct on several fronts. Trump claims Bolton violated the law by publishing classified information — which Trump said includes all conversations with the president — but Bolton and his team insist that all classified material was scrubbed from the manuscript as part of the security review conducted by the White House.

Bolton has caught heat from both sides of the political aisle for penning "The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir," which details his stint in the Trump administration from April 2018 to September 2019. Republicans said Bolton is lying, while some Democrats said he should have testified or at least spoken out during Trump's impeachment trial earlier this year.
