Joe Biden will meet with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., on Friday for the first time since the election, Bloomberg reports.
Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., will host Pelosi and Schumer at The Queen theater in Wilmington, Delaware, which the Biden campaign has been using for meetings and events. Bloomberg notes that Biden hasn’t seen the two lead Democrats in Congress since September, when they attended a memorial for the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
Biden has yet to speak with Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, who is meeting with Pelosi on Thursday to work on a spending deal to avoid a government shutdown on December 11.
