Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Sunday said he hopes an investigation by Connecticut’s U.S. Attorney John Durham will results in indictments — including of former FBI Director James Comey.

In an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Jordan, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, was asked about whether indictments could be expected at the conclusion of Durham’s investigation of the Obama administration’s probe into the 2016 presidential campaign of Donald Trump.

“I hope so,” he said.

“I've said this all along: I think James Comey is the biggest culprit here,” Jordan declared. “It was the small handful of people at the top of the FBI and then remember [U.S. Attorney] Bill Barr the first time he testified said there was a failure of leadership” in the FBI.

“Comey, [former deputy director of the FBI Andrew] McCabe, [former general counsel for the FBI James A.] Baker, they had to be fired as the people who ran the Clinton investigation and the Trump Russia investigation. Comey is the ring leader and I hope they give him a second look and he's ultimately held accountable.”

He added that he also hoped the Durham probe would be wrapped up before Election Day on Nov. 3.

“The number one question I get from people, they'll walk up to me and say ‘when is somebody going to jail?’ And the reason they say that is because they're sick of the double standard,” he said.

“This idea of there's one set of rules [for] the politically connected in D.C. and a different set for us regular folks, so let's hope we have the investigation done before the election.”
