Jill Biden called attacks by the Trump campaign on her husband’s mental fitness “ridiculous.”

During a Tuesday appearance on NBC’s “Today,” she defended Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities.

“Joe is on the phone every single minute of the day talking to governors, Nancy Pelosi, he’s on Zoom, he’s doing fundraisers, doing briefings. He doesn’t stop from 9 in the morning until 11 at night,” she said of her husband.

On Tuesday, the Trump campaign released an ad titled “What happened to Biden?” which attacked the former vice president. The ad showed clips of him speaking during the Obama administration and then compared it to footage of him on the campaign trail stumbling over his words.

The Trump campaign has repeatedly brought Biden’s cognition into question.

Last month, Trump himself claimed he “aced” a test of cognitive function and said Biden couldn't pass it. Biden had told reporters that he's “constantly” taking tests of his cognitive ability.

In discussing the election and Biden’s lead in the polls, Jill Biden said they are “not going to take any vote for granted.”

“Joe and I are working as hard as we can every single day,” she said.
