Attorney General Jeff Sessions praised President Donald Trump's leadership style in the wake of critical comments his boss made about him.
"I think President Trump moves the ball. He can get things done that I'm not sure any other person in America could get done," Sessions told Fox News in an interview slated to air Wednesday night.
"He is bold, he's not worried about what people say."
The Hill reported on Sessions' remarks.
Trump has called out Sessions on numerous occasions for recusing himself from the Department of Justice's Russia investigation. Sessions said he took that action because of the role he played on Trump's campaign.
In the Fox interview, Sessions told Shannon Bream Trump's way of doing business is beneficial to the U.S.
"He does not like things not getting done," Sessions said. "He keeps pushing every day. It's a remarkable strength that he has, and I think it's good for America."
Last week, Trump tweeted his anger at Sessions by saying his decision to ask the Justice Department's inspector general to investigate abuses with the FISA process was "disgraceful."
