When presidential hopeful Jeb Bush visits San Francisco on Thursday, he will use his iPhone to hail a ride through the Uber app.

Bush is visiting the Bay area to address the role innovation and disruptive technology play in helping to create high-paying jobs, Politico reports.

The Florida Republican is expected to say that this is a sector where the United States has a competitive advantage, and the nation ought to be promoting it, not stifling it for the sake of special interests.

Politico is reporting that he will say that's "Hillary's path."

Bush's comments come on the heels of a speech Hillary Clinton gave Monday in New Hampshire, in which she addressed middle-class wages and targeted "sharing economy" companies like Uber, which she says are hurting sustainable wage growth.

Uber, along with competitor Lyft, is facing numerous lawsuits over the status of its drivers by some who say that they should be treated like employees, not independent contractors. If the lawsuits are successful, they will change the business model of the ride-hailing firms.

Uber is launching a strong fight against the suits. The company filed a 52-page motion opposing the certification of a class-action lawsuit last week, Fortune reports.

While in San Francisco, Bush is also expected to visit Thumbtack, a new online source for Americans to find qualified professionals such as electricians, wedding planners, photographers and personal trainers.
