Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, might be planning a White House run in 2028, Fusion reported.

Chaffetz, who announced Wednesday he would not seek reelection in 2018 so he could return to the private sector, had two websites registered in his name by his campaign arm Friends of Jason Chaffetz: Jason2028.com and JasonChaffetz2028.com.

The domains were secured April 6 and the URLs currently redirect to a generic landing page. Another domain, JasonForGovernor.com, redirects to his congressional campaign page.

Chaffetz, the House Oversight Committee Chairman, did not close the door to another run for public office in his Facebook statement Wednesday.

"I may run again for public office, but not in 2018," he wrote. "For those that would speculate otherwise, let me be clear that I have no ulterior motives. I am healthy. I am confident I would continue to be reelected by large margins. I have the full support of Speaker Ryan to continue as Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee. That said, I have made a personal decision to return to the private sector."
