Former FBI Director James Comey said Wednesday he was missing the people of the agency and thanked them for their "commitment to truth and for all the good" they do.

His comments came in a tweet Wednesday morning on the one-year anniversary of his firing by President Donald Trump.

"Missing the people of the FBI today," Comey said. "Thank you for your commitment to truth and for all the good you do for this country."

Comey had said last week he has no hatred for Trump.

"I don't hate Donald Trump," he said. "I don't hate people that voted for Donald Trump."
