Pelosi: 'Unimportant' for Democrats to Win in 2018

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Sunday it was "unimportant" for Democrats to win back a majority in the lower chamber in the mid-term elections, The Hill reported.

"That's so unimportant. What is important is that we have the lively debate on a better deal," Pelosi told Fox News host Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday" when asked about the chances Democrats had to win back the House in 2018.

"Better pay. Better jobs and a better future. And that's what we look forward to having. And we have unity in our party. You saw it with the fight on the Affordable Care Act in the House and in the Senate," she added.

Democrats failed in their attempts to win several special elections this year. Earlier this month they rolled out details of their new agenda called "A Better Deal."
