Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 presidential election because she was "out of touch" with the American people, RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said Thursday.
McDaniel referred to Michigan, where she was chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Party during the 2016 election.
"Hillary Clinton was not in our state. She did not bring a message to the voters of our state that resonated and President (Donald) Trump did. He talked about jobs. He talked about wages,” McDaniel said on Fox News' "Fox & Friends."
"Look where our country is already under his leadership. He won this election because he cared about average working class families in this country, and he is delivering. And Hillary Clinton was so out of touch, that's the only reason that she lost,” McDaniel said.
