Hillary Clinton's campaign released the Democratic presidential nominee's health "summary" in a letter Wednesday — unveiling details on a January sinus and ear infection, along with the history of her current pneumonia.
Dr. Lisa Bardack concluded Clinton "continues to remain healthy and fit to serve as President of the United States."
The letter does reveal sinusitis and an ear infection that required a tube to drain a fluid collection in the ear that has not previously been disclosed.
According to Bardack, the infections developed in January and were treated with both antibiotics and steroids; a tube was also placed to drain the ear fluid.
Bardack also revealed the course of Clinton's current pneumonia, for which the nominee first went for evaluation Sept. 2.
A CT scan Friday, Sept. 9, and evaluation of Clinton's cardiac health, "given her family history of cardiac disease," showed right middle-lobe pneumonia, with a "coronary calcium score" of zero, the letter stated.
She was told to rest and take antibiotics.
"This was a mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia," the doctor wrote.
After Clinton's episode of becoming "overheated and dehydrated" Sunday, Sept. 11, the doctor wrote she saw Clinton at her home and declared Clinton now "continues to improve."
The doctor also wrote about her history of immunizations, lab testing and diagnostic imaging, including her mammogram and breast ultrasound history, along with thyroid blood tests; Clinton suffers and is treated for hypothyroidism, according to the doctor.
"Of note, she has remained stable for many hears on Armor thyroid to treat her hypothyroidism," Bardack wrote.
Clinton's lab testing included a complete blood count, fasting blood glucose and comprehensive metabolic panel, all of which were found normal, Bardack wrote.
Clinton's cholesterol is 189, with an LDL of 103 and HDL of 56; her triglycerides level is 159.
The doctor also reported Clinton's blood pressure reading was 100/70, and her heart rate at 70.
"The remainder of her complete physical exam was normal and she is in excellent mental condition," the doctor wrote.
