NYT/CBS Poll: Clinton More Likely to Be Effective Than Sanders

Most Democrats believe former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is more likely to bring real change to Washington than her closest challenger Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, according to a New York Times/CBS News poll. 

The results, according the poll:
  • Clinton: 62 percent
  • Sanders 51 percent
Other findings in the poll:

Overall support:
  • Clinton: 52 percent
  • Sanders: 33 percent

Confidence in regulating big banks:
  • Clinton: 70 percent
  • Sanders: 65 percent
Make right decisions on gun laws:
  • Clinton: 76 percent
  • Sanders: 57 percent
Sanders fares better, though, on believability.

Believes what he/she says:
  • Sanders: 62 percent
  • Clinton: 52 percent

The nationwide poll was conducted Nov. 6-10 and talked to 1,495 adults, 418 of them Democratic primary voters, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 6 percentage points for Democratic voters.
