Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Monday that she was a bit "befuddled" by FBI Director James Comey's recent actions.

Comey informed Congress in late October that his bureau was looking at 650,000 emails found on a computer used by Anthony Weiner and his estranged wife, Huma Abedin, a top Clinton aid.

But on Sunday he said nothing was found in the emails to change his mind from July when he announced that Clinton did send classified emails on her private server when she was secretary of state, though the intent needed to press charges was not evident.

"I was obviously a little bit befuddled by the whole process, but it’s behind us now and I think everybody should focus on what is best for our country and how we’re going to meet the challenges we have, and that’s what I have been talking about throughout this entire campaign," Clinton told Seacrest on Monday.

Story continues below audio.

Democrats and Republicans have alternately blasted or praised Comey, depending on his latest announcement. He initially was criticized by Democrats who said that since he could not convict her in a courtroom he decided to do so in the court of public opinion.

Democrats, meanwhile, accused him of trying to influence the election in the closing days, while he drew praise from Republicans, including presidential nominee Donald Trump. But GOP opinions changed after Comey's Sunday announcement.

Clinton, meanwhile, told Seacrest she hopes to work with Trump if she wins on Tuesday.
