Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris raised $47 million in the 24 hours after Tuesday night’s debate with Republican former President Donald Trump, The New York Times first reported Thursday.
Harris received donations from 600,000 people, marking her largest 24-hour fundraising haul since taking over as the nominee from President Joe Biden in July, the campaign said. Further, 71% of grassroots donations came from women during the first hour of the debate, The Hill reported.
Harris came into September with $404 million in cash on hand compared to the Trump campaign’s $295 million, the Times reported. Harris outraised Trump $361 million to $130 million in August.
Trump’s campaign has not released fundraising totals in the aftermath of the debate.
More than 67 million people watched Tuesday night’s debate, Nielsen reported.
