It ain’t over ‘til it’s over. Minnesota’s Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer
(pictured) hasn’t given up on his chances of winning the election, despite the fact that he trails his Democratic opponent Mark Dayton as the race’s recount winds down to a close,
Politico reports.

Dayton leads by 9,000 votes in the recount, which is done by hand. But in his first public remarks since the recount began last month, Emmer says he’s not giving up.
The recount process has “worked well,” but “it’s not appropriate to say what I think the outcome will be,” he says. Emmer said in a news conference that he’s not currently planning to challenge the outcome in court, though he doesn’t rule that out. The “integrity” of the vote isn’t yet clear, he says.
