Republicans and Democrats are both looking toward a focus on healthcare after the midterm elections, Axios reported.

Republicans are aiming to take care of the issue if they retain and increase their majority in the Senate. “With 53 members we get health care done,” said Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., the vice chairman of the Republican campaign arm, Politico reported.

In the House of Representatives, Democrats are looking toward pushing for “Medicare for All” if they win the majority there, The Hill reported.

“We’re going to do what it takes to get health care for every American,” said Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Mich., co-chairwoman of the Medicare For All Congressional Caucus, a group of more than 60 House Democrats, according to The Hill.

However, Axios reported that neither initiative looks likely to happen before 2021, with both parties split against each other and looking toward the presidential election in 2020.
