Giuliani Endorses Palm Beach Candidate

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has endorsed a longtime friend in his campaign for re-election to the town council in Palm Beach, Florida.

Giuliani announced his support for Bill Diamond with an appearance in Palm Beach on Friday, The Palm Beach Post reports.

Diamond has known Giuliani for three decades and was Giuliani's commissioner of administrative services on 9/11, the Post reports.

Giuliani praised Diamond's ability to solve problems and described him as "very instrumental in helping pull the city [New York] through the horrible terrorist attacks" of 9/11.

Diamond faces challenger Danielle Hickox Moore in an election Tuesday.
