Gillespie: Major GOP Gains in State Legislatures

Former RNC chair Ed Gillespie told a Christian Science Monitor breakfast gathering this week that Democrats are not likely to take control of any additional state legislative chambers -- while Republicans will pick up four chambers with 12 additional Democrat controlled chambers "solidly in play," according to a report by swamppolitics.com.

As states redraw their federal congressional districts to match new census numbers, Gillespie says his Republican State Leadership Committee is slated to double the $22 million raised in the last redistricting period.
