Rep. Don Young, a Republican, is in a virtual tie with independent-Democrat Alyse Galvin for the at-large House seat from Alaska, a new poll by Alaska Survey Research revealed.

The survey found Galvin was favored by 49 percent of likely voters, compared to Young, who was backed by 48 percent. Three percent remained undecided.

The poll, conducted Oct. 26-29, surveyed 500 likely voters in Alaska. The margin of error is 4.4 percent.
