Gallup: Swing State Voters Trust Obama More on Medicare

When it comes to Medicare, more voters in 12 swing states trust President Barack Obama, a new poll indicated.

Of registered voters in the 12 states, 51 percent said they trust Obama to handle Medicare, the Gallup poll said, with Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney being trusted by 44 percent, Politico reported. The lead is about the same nationally, the poll indicated, with Obama being trusted by 50 percent to 43 percent over Romney.

The poll was conducted in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Only 44 percent said Romney and running mate Paul Ryan have put forth a plan to overhaul Medicare and 51 percent believe Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have a plan, according to the poll, Politico reported.

The poll was conducted in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
