Secretary of State Rex Tillerson reportedly prints out all of President Donald Trump's tweets so he can take them into account while planning foreign policy.
Speaking with his predecessor, Condoleezza Rice, at a Stanford University event Wednesday, Tillerson — who does not use social media — said his aides print out every POTUS tweet and hand-delivers them to him, Vanity Fair reported.
"The challenge is just getting caught up, because I don't even have a Twitter account that I can follow what he is tweeting, so my staff usually has to print his tweets out and hand them to me," Tillerson said, per VF.
Tillerson said he then asks himself: "How do we take that and now use it?" VF reported.
The revelation comes in the wake of the president's withering criticism of Tillerson via Twitter last October, when Trump seemed to undercut his Secretary of State by telling him to "save your energy" when it comes to negotiating with North Korea.
Now, Tillerson is a defender of his Twitter-based relationship.
"I've actually concluded that's not a bad system," he declared, VF reported, adding he can take in "the early reactions" to any Trump tweet, which in turn lets him respond more effectively.
But he is not about to get on the Twitter bandwagon.
"I am probably going to go to my grave and never have a social-media account," he said, the outlet reported.
