Florida Pro-Life Group Backs Scott, Rubio

Tuesday, 05 October 2010 10:27 AM EDT

The Republicans atop Florida’s ticket – Rick Scott for governor and Marco Rubio for senator – have received the endorsement of the Florida Right to Life group. Independent Gov. Charlie Crist, who is running for Senate, has called himself pro-life in the past. But he vetoed a bill allowing women to see an ultrasound of their unborn baby before an abortion, removing him from consideration, LifeNews.com reports.

Life, groups, endorse, scott, floridaAs for Scott, he says on his web site, "I am pro-life. I believe strongly in the sanctity of human life. I believe Roe v. Wade should be overturned, and as governor, would appoint judges who apply law and not impose their political agenda on the people, which was what was done in 1973 when Roe was wrongly decided."

Florida Right to Life gave him an "A" grade.
