Arizona Rep. Flake Endorses Romney

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has bagged the support of one of the party’s leading fiscal conservatives. Arizona Rep. Jeff Flake announced his endorsement for the former Massachusetts governor today, Politico reports.

“Mitt Romney has the experience and vision to get our country on the right path again,” Flake said in his endorsement statement. “Whether it was his time as governor or as a successful businessman, Mitt Romney has shown that he has the economic knowledge to create the environment for businesses to start hiring again.”

Flake is running for the Senate next year and is expected to win the seat. Arizona’s presidential primary has gained more importance since moving its schedule up to Feb. 28 last week.
