Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are in a dead heat in seven battleground states, according to a poll by Emerson College and Pollara Strategic Insights released Monday.
The poll was conducted Sept. 15-18 ranging from 868 to 1,000 likely voters in each state, and margins of error for each state from +/- 3 percentage points to 3.3 points.
The poll showed each candidate had 50% in the battleground states of Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Nevada, North Carolina, and Michigan. Trump was ahead 51%-49% in Pennsylvania, but that was within the margin of error.
The economy ranked as the No. 1 issue for voters in the battleground states, and then diverged based on each state. In Arizona, voters ranked immigration (23%) and access to abortion (12%) among their top three issues, but voters in North Carolina ranked healthcare (10%) and immigration (10%) among their top three issues.
The poll showed 51% said Harris, the Democrat nominee, will win in November. She has a 51% favorability rating, compared with 48% for Trump.
Only 38% of those polled approved of the job President Joe Biden was doing.
Here are the sample sizes of likely voters and margins of error for each state:

- Nevada: 895, 3.2
- North Carolina: 1,000, 3.0
