Introduced as the woman "who savagely murdered Mike Bloomberg on live television," Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., made an appearance on "Saturday Night Live" just days after suspending her presidential campaign.
"I've been doing just fine," Warren told comedian Kate McKinnon, who was playing the role of Fox News' Laura Ingraham. "My friends and family have been so supportive. They've been calling nonstop, asking: 'Are you OK? What do you need? Were you electable?' That kind of thing."
The cold open skit then showed a video of a Warren's dog eating a burrito – with McKinnon asking, "were you the dog or the burrito?"
"I was the dog," she replied.
Asked next if Warren would be endorsing a Democratic presidential candidate, between Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., or Joe Biden.
"It's tough – maybe I'll just pull a New York Times and endorse them both," Warren replied, before responding if she had any regrets in her campaign.
"You know, not at all," she said. "I am so proud of our campaign. We built a wide coalition of teachers, preschool teachers, middle school teachers, and teachers' pets. And, not only did I not accept money from billionaires, I got to give one a swirly on live TV."
A "swirly" is a bullying prank that involves a someone dunking a weaker individual's head in a toilet.
"But now, I've got time to do a little self care, hanging out with my dog Bailey, prank calling big banks, drag racing Subarus, avoiding Twitter," she continued. "And, before I go, I want to thank my supporters and say one last thing."
McKinnon then jumped in, wearing the same blue suit coat, reprising her Warren caricature.
"I wanted to put on my favorite outfit to thank you for all you've done in your lifetime," McKinnon said.
"Uh, I'm not dead," Warren replied. "I'm just in the Senate."
