Minutes after the release of figures pointing to 14 million Americans losing healthcare next year under the GOP's proposed American Health Care Act, Sen. Elizabeth Warren fired off a series of fiery tweets calling the plan a "heartless" legislation Americans should be worried about.
Following the the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office's report on the GOP bill, the Massachusetts Democrat, using examples of people from her state who would suffer if the Affordable Care Act was killed, tweeted:
Warren's fury echoed that of another Massachusetts politician, Democratic Rep. Joe Kennedy III, who last week struck out at House Speaker Paul Ryan's declaration that dumping the Affordable Care Act in favor of the GOP plan would be an "act of mercy."
"This is not an act of mercy. It is an act of malice," Kennedy declared.
