Attorney General Bill Barr is raising the possibility of additional charges stemming from the inquiry into the Russia investigation.
His comments came during an interview on Wednesday with NBC’s Pete Williams. The full interview was posted on the NBC News website.
Kevin Clinesmith, a former FBI lawyer has already been charged with making a false statement in the first criminal case arising from U.S. Attorney John Durham's investigation into the probe of ties between Russia and the 2016 Donald Trump campaign.
Williams asked Barr: “Would you say it is unlikely there will be additional charges?”
Barr replied: “No, I wouldn’t say that at all.”
Pressed on whether there could be more charges, Barr said: “Yeah, there could be.”
And asked whether the public will hear anything about the Durham report before the election, Barr answered, “I'm not going get into that.”
