Trump Planning 'Major Rally' for Sen. Cruz in Texas

President Donald Trump on Friday said he's planning a "major rally" in Texas to support Sen. Ted Cruz ahead of the midterms.

"I'm picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find," Trump tweeted.

Cruz is facing a staunch and surprising challenge from Democrat Beto O'Rourke, who has been the senator's equal in fundraising while running a strong campaign.

Cruz maintains a 5.5-point lead over O'Rourke, according to RealClearPolitics' composite average of Texas polls dating back to May.
