President Donald Trump will visit Iowa on Thursday.
The trip, reported by various news outlets, was confirmed in a tweet by Rep. Rod Blum, R-Iowa.
Blum is considered vulnerable in November in a district where active Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than 16,000 votes.
And Democratic state Rep. Abby Finkenauer, who is challenging Blum, has criticized him for hosting Trump, Roll Call reported.
Trump's visit came as tensions mount between the administration and Iowa farmers over the president's trade policies with China, Mexico, Canada, and other countries, the Des Moines Register reported.
