Vice President Kamala Harris told viewers of Tuesday night's debate that opponent Donald Trump would rather "run from a problem instead of fixing a problem."
Harris made the retort during a heated exchange about immigration.
"He's going to talk about immigration a lot even when it's not the subject being raised," she said.
Harris then said she was going to do something "unusual" and encourage Americans to attend a Trump rally.
"It's a really interesting thing to watch. You will see during the course of his rallies he talks about fictional characters, windmills causing cancer. What you will start seeing are people leaving his rallies early out of exhaustion and boredom," she said. "The one thing you will not hear him talk about is you."
Trump fired back saying no one is leaving his rallies and "nobody will go to hers."
"She pays people to go," he said.
