One of President Donald Trump's sons said Friday on Twitter his father made good on another one of his campaign promises this week after a massive bomb was dropped on ISIS militants in Afghanistan.

Donald Trump Jr. wrote this on his Twitter account:

The Air Force attacked ISIS tunnels with a MOAB, short for Massive Ordinance Air Blast bomb, on Thursday. The 21,600-pound weapon is nicknamed the "Mother of all bombs" because of its massive size. Only a nuclear bomb is a larger piece of ordinance.

The bomb reportedly killed 36 militants.

Shortly after announcing his candidacy for president in 2015, Trump told Newsmax TV he would "bomb the hell" out of ISIS if elected.

The Associated Press reported Friday that military commanders in the Middle East did not need Trump's permission to use the bomb.
