Longtime GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump has seen his lead slipping to Ben Carson in some of the latest polls, but insists he's still packing the house at his campaign events.
On Thursday, Trump appeared via satellite for an interview with Bill O'Reilly on Fox News Channel's
"The O'Reilly Factor." Rather than sitting in a studio or other quiet location, however, Trump was seated on stage with his back to a crowd who had showed up for a rally in Sparks, Nevada.
Not only did it provide a visual for Trump to show he's still popular, the audio of his side of the conversation was pumped into the hall, and the crowd cheered every time Trump made a point.
Trump has called his original top rival Jeb Bush "low energy" and has taken to calling his new challenger Carson "super-low energy." It is he, Trump says, who has the stamina and energy to take on America's enemies such as the Islamic State (ISIS) and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
O'Reilly did get Trump to admit that although he has a license to carry a concealed weapon in New York, "I'm not carrying now."
