President Donald Trump's disapproval rating has dropped to its lowest level in nearly 5 months, according to RealClearPolitics' latest polling average.
The average results of the 9 latest polls, according to RCP:
- 41.6 percent overall approve of Trump.
- 53.3 percent disapprove of Trump.
That's Trump's best benchmark since late September, when his disapproval rating was 52.4 percent, according to RCP.
Trump's average disapproval rating has been on the uptick ever since taking office last year, apexing at 58 percent in mid-December, according to RCP's average.
Of the polls tracked by RCP, Trump's most favorable was the Monmouth University poll in late January; 44 percent favorable vs. 48 percent unfavorable.
Trump's worst showing is in the IBD/TIPP polling from early February, showing him with a 35 percent favorable rating vs. a 58 percent unfavorable.
