President Donald Trump hit 50 percent approval in a Rasmussen poll released Thursday.

In the poll:

  • 50 percent approve of Trump’s performance.
  • 49 percent disapprove.

Those numbers include 35 percent who "strongly approve" of President Trump’s performance while 41 percent "strongly disapprove."

Trump posted a tweet regarding the approval rating. "Working hard, thank you!" he said in the Thursday tweet.

Rasmussen’s daily tracking results are collected in telephone surveys of 500 likely voters and reported on a three-day rolling basis; the margin of sampling error for the full 1,500-person sample is plus or minus 2.5 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence, the poll report said.

A Gallup poll released July 24 showed Trump at 41.9 percent approval, his highest Gallup rating.
