President Donald Trump's approval rating stands at 45 percent — a jump of six points from last week, according to the Rasmussen Reports Daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

On Aug. 4, 39 percent of those polled had said they approved of the job the president was doing, according to the survey.

But Friday's approval rating is Trump's highest daily mark since July 12 when he also received a 45 percent favorable response, figures provided by Rasmussen reveal. Trump's highest approval rating is 59 percent — recorded on Jan. 26 — less than a week after he took the oath of office.

The poll surveyed 1,500 people and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.
