Democratic presidential prospects already have begun preparing for 2020, planning trips to early primary states Iowa and New Hampshire, The Hill reports.

The Hill compiled a list of potential Democratic candidates for the White House by tallying their trips to the two states.

Former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander has made the most, with 10 trips to Iowa and seven to New Hampshire for an average of one trip a month since 2016. Maryland Rep. John Delaney comes in second with seven Iowa trips and five to New Hampshire, followed by his state's former governor Martin O'Malley, who's made five trips to Iowa and three to New Hampshire.

Former presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has made the next-most trips, with three to Iowa and two to New Hampshire. Two former Obama administration officials, former Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry, have each made at least one trip to either Iowa or New Hampshire.

In a recent interview with NBC News, Biden did not rule out running in 2020, but said that he is currently "focused on one thing: electing a Democratic Congress to stop this erosion of the core of who we are."

He added that he'll reconsider a campaign “a year from now. I have plenty of time to consider whether or not to run."
