Democratic freshman Sen. Kamala Harris of California has raised more than $600,000 in the first six months of the year with over half of the total coming from small online donations, The Hill reported Saturday.
As Harris' list of donors has grown since she took office in January, her campaign warchest is ten times what it was a year ago, The Hill explained, citing an article on CNN, adding she planned to use the funds to assist fellow Democrats to either gain or hold onto current congressional seats.
Harris, a frequent critic of President Donald Trump, is considered by some to be a Democratic rising star with the potential of running in the primary for president in 2020.
