The Democratic National Committee is overhauling its entire tech operation ahead of the 2020 elections in the hopes of better communicating with voters, Axios reports.
Committee chief technology officer Raffi Krikorian told Axios that he's spearheading efforts to better target voters by overhauling how the DNC processes voter file data.
"There's a pretty amazing energy in the progressive tech industry right now," Krikorian told Axios. "We want to make sure we have the best people aligned around the Democratic Party."
The DNC is moving from one vendor to a three-vendor strategy to maximize efficiencies in data hygiene, consumer data and social data, Krikorian told Axios.
"We have two years to perfect this new system," Krikorian told Axios.
