Incumbent Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga., facing a stiff challenge from young Democrat Jon Ossoff in Tuesdays runoff elections, on Sunday reminded voters of Ossoff's ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
"This is a young man who has not come clean about China," Perdue told Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo.
"He's never answered the question about his relationship with the CCP, Maria."
Perdue, who will not be involved in the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress one day after the special elections polls close Tuesday night, pointed to the myriad ways China spies have infiltrated Democrats, particularly "young, ambitious" ones like Ossoff.
"This evolving scandal with Jon Ossoff is becoming more and more clear," Perdue told Bartiromo. "The Chinese Communist Party has identified young, ambitious people in America to try to influence.
"You see the Eric Swalwell crisis right now. You see the Hunter Biden scandal. And now we see the evolving Jon Ossoff people that he has with China.
"He was paid by them for two years. He's been encouraging people to follow the Chinese propaganda.
"He has participated in that for two years, and he hid it from the people of Georgia during the primary. Got caught, lied about it, finally disclosed it, and then lied about it again."
Perdue's final days of his campaign has been derailed by a quarantine for close COVID-19 contacts, but he told Bartiromo he has tested negative three times and never developed any symptoms.
