President Donald Trump ripped into Democrats saying they are not doing anything to save the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and predicted Hispanics and DACA activists will start "falling in love" with him and Republicans lawmakers.
Trump’s comments came in a tweet on Tuesday morning.
Trump has indicated he would support a measure to protect DACA recipients – the undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as minors – in exchange for funding to build his proposed wall at the Mexican border, Politico noted.
Trump had ended DACA on Sept. 5, 2017, but gave Congress six months to come up with a replacement plan, The Hill noted.
