In what is shaping up to be the WFF grudge match of politics, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., will meet in a face-to-face debate over the future of the Affordable Care Act.
The ideological slugfest between the high-profile lawmakers, who both ran unsuccessfully for their party's nomination in the 2016 presidential race will take place Tuesday at 9 p.m. on CNN.
The battle, to be held at George Washington University, will be moderated by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. It comes one week after a CNN town hall which featured House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
The Affordable Care Act, former President Barack Obama's signature health care law, is one of the biggest political hot potatoes in Washington. President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers are pushing to have it repealed while Congressional Democrats are want it to remain in place.
The GOP has long promised to provide superior replacement to the program, commonly known as Obamacare, but so far no concrete proposal has been offered on Capitol Hill.
