Joe Biden is expected to meet with mayors on Monday to discuss the growing COVID-19 cases throughout the country, according to The Hill.
Biden and Kamala Harris have planned a virtual meeting with more than 1,400 mayors from the United States Conference of Mayors, who lead cities with populations over 30,000 people. Biden and Harris will participate in the meeting from Wilmington, Delaware.
The two met with the group last Thursday to talk about how the administration would tackle the pandemic.
The United States is dealing with a record number of daily COVID-19 cases just before the Thanksgiving holiday season, which has caused worry among public health officials that family gatherings will worsen the problem.
So far, more than 12 million people in the United States have contracted the coronavirus and more than 250,000 have died from the disease, according to Johns Hopkins University data.
